If the email I received from KLM is correct, my 5 hour layover in Amsterdam (route is IAD-AMS-EDI) has been increased to 7 hours.

Is this enough time to actually leave the airport and do something?

If I do leave, will I be given a hard time when I come back through security and don't have any luggage with me, aside from my camera bag?
