avoid it!

Today, I had my first Edelweiss experience and hopefully also the last. I can't echo the positive comments by earlier posters.

I was on a regular LX flight from AMS to ZRH in C (row 2). The flight was only about half full, but quite a lot of C pax (about 12). These are my experiences:

- Timeliness: Ontime departure and arrival^
- Wardrobe: None. O.k. if travelling shorts/t-shirt - but not in a suit.
- Seats: 2+2 seating in C, but leg space very limited due to both pitch and old style seats. O.k. upto about 1.80m/6ft - with my 2m I had to be seated across putting both feet under the middle seat for the entire flight.
- Food: LX food^
- Drinks: Only had water, but different wines from LX.
- Electronical equipment: Ridiculous - landing announcement 25 mins before descending/45 mins before landing (no turbulances!)
- Service: first service efficient, after that the crew was busy with their own duty free purchases (absorbing the entire crew for about 15 mins because the purchasing crew-member was lacking change)
- Toilets: a lot of traffic from Y to C toilet, ignored by crew (busy with their change)
- Gate: E62, i.e. a long walk and airtrain ride ...

Bottom line: If you like holiday flight athmosphere and are less than 1.80m tall - go for it! Otherwise: avoid it!
