I tried this at DTW a few weeks ago and it seems like they don't have all the kinks worked out. had no problem scanning on my BB Curve (if you zoom into the barcode on the top, it works much better) but when I was walking through security, I had to show my phone to the agent post metal detector, then send the phone through the x-ray, then walk through the metal detector...more hassle than its worth if you ask me, unless they iron out the kinks.
