Given the rush to book premium awards before last September's devaluation and the still persistent state of the award calendar, I would say "there's a lot more effort involved booking on DL's website than using AA's or NW's award search feature" is a bit of an understatement. Being flexible very far out or booking very near the date of travel (with extra fees) seem to work best.
