CHG, based on my own very limited experience (one stay at each hotel, in both cases award stays), I agree with your assessment. Overall, the PL is nicer, better located, etc. I think I would have just stayed all three nights there (unless, of course, I needed more stays for requalifying -- which is often the case for me ).
