Thanks for the update, mechteach. Did it 'take awhile' because they are unable to re-book on other airlines?

I had two issues with my booking:

-The outbound was a day earlier than I had booked. This was fortunately fine for us as we're in LAX and it was Fri nite instead of Sat nite. I WAS surprised that there wasn't even an email about it tho

-The return flight was via Brisbane (SYD-BNS-LAX) and that route won't be available on our date. While the reservation had changed to a NS SYD-LAX, the itin suddenly had a needless leg to/from BNS on the outbound AND return.

When I called, they answered promptly. The very young man was very friendly. He took out the extra leg, gave me seat assignments, and 'claims' we will get a phone call if there are any more major changes

So now our LAX-SYD / SYD-LAX itin and seat assignments show when I go to checkmytrip ^

We are also excited to try them. It's been busy lately tho, so I feel SOOO behind on the trip planning
