I haven't actually used a DECT phone recently, but all other things being equal it should perform better than the alternatives.
My office is a WiFi/Bluetooth, gawd knows what EMI zone. I have a Phillips Skype and regular phone line DECT cordless handset and it is very clear sounding. Prior to DECT I would get background from all of the various interfering transmissions.
