It all depends on how much you value your time and nights & points accrual, but you could consider staying the extra night (or paying for an extra night on a current stay if time is the largest determinant).

Assumption: 1 point equals 1 cent
Hotel taxes: 10%
Status: Platinum (15 pp$)
Concatenated on exiting stay (otherwise add 500 points for platinum arrival gift)
==>Then break even is about $105/night
(plus the value of an extra night credit)
$105*15 = 1,575 points
Extra megabonus points 10,000
Total MR points = 11,575 @ $0.01 = $115.75
Total Cost = $105*(1+10% tax) = $115.5
