Long time ago I have learned not to assume anything when it comes to the hotels.

As always there is a huge variance within the brand i.e. some Sheraton's are *** and some are close to *****.

Like you I complained to the corporate. I hope that someday Starwood takes some action regarding this property.

When I visit as property I normally do a quick search. Even when the property is not well liked it doesn't normally deter me to stay there once. It also helps me to set my expectations at the right level.

Do I think that Westin Casurina is not up to the Westin standards (whatever those might be)? Absolutely.
