From my standpoint, I'd go for one of the following two:
SPG Amex: 1 SPG points per dollar spent. You can convert 1 SPG point into 1.25 miles for almost all airline programs. You can convert whenever to whatever. 10k points after 1st purchase, $45 annual fee, 1st year fee waived.
Citi Driver's Edge MC: 6% (i.e. 6 TYP) back per dollar spent for supermarkets, gas stations, drug stores. No annual fee.
If it were me, I'd do both.

I am a silver elite with UA and rarely travel any airlines other than Star Alliance but since I must use a company card for travel I can't get credit card points when I purchase my airline tickets.
I wouldn't mind a card to allow me to add to my UA miles (the UA Visa is currently giving 30K bonus points) but I'm worried about having all my rewards in a single airline program (what if they fail - I don't want to lose all my points).
I have a personal family trip COS to HNL later this year so maybe something with a companion fare (?) but the threads I've been reading indicate that most companion fares aren't worth it. Also something attractive to me would be UA lounge access.
I don't want to pay over $100 annual fee unless I get some real benefit for it.
I've been reading threads here and other card comparison sites and now my head hurts. I'm hoping for a couple recommendations here that will allow me to then sort through a short list. Thanks...
