Just as an FYI and I suppose relevant to the thread,but we stayed in the MO hyde park on saturday night and found the service there top notch.Anything asked was done quickly and with a smile.
No butler though.Good food and wine and faultless service in their park restaurant and a somewhat trendy few cocktails were had in their mandarin bar.

I agree that the service there has improved dramatically over the past few years. They are meant to have a Guest Relations person on each floor to welcome you and take care of your needs, but like you, I have rarely encountered one (well, OK, once, but only when we checked in).
My problem is with the bathrooms. Most of the suite bathrooms are English country house standard - i.e. tiny and with no separate shower. They need to invest in this and then, maybe I will return, as I love the location.
