I've only stayed at the Four Seasons in STL. There's a thread about the hotel here and I'll quote my experience at the bottom. A lot of people at my former employer were spending weeks on end in St Louis over the course of a year and many of them had stayed at hotels all over the city; Chase Park Plaza, Westin, Hyatt Regency, Ritz-Carlton, Renaissance etc. You name it they'd been there. On my visit there we all opted to stay at the FS as they gave us a great corporate rate. Everyone without fail said it was the best of the places they'd been and switched all their future stays to the place. ^

Just got back from my FS stay. Excellent ^^

Location is between I-70 and the river and is attached to Lumiere Place casino. You arrive on the ground floor but check-in is on the 8th floor where there is Cielo restaurant & bar, outdoor terrace, pool, hot tub with great views of the arch.

I was booked into a 'moderate room' (as per corporate policy) but was moved to a 15th floor Deluxe room (so view of the arch and slightly bigger room) with double beds. The hotel is spotless, it has only been open a few months but it looked like it had opened the previous day! The outdoor terrace is superb, there were about a dozen of my colleagues staying here and we went out there in the evening as the sun was going down with a Schlafly's. It will be a great place to hang out on a summer's evening. ^^ Nice pool and hot tub too, alas I didn't bring my swimmers because it is all on the 8th floor you have the view to enjoy.

Service; professional, friendly and proactive. Case in point, two of my colleagues went for an early morning run yesterday and they were discussing with eachother how long they were going to run for. The doorman overheard them on the way out and when they got back to the downstairs lobby he had two bottle of ice water and towels ready for them ^ One of the guys we were with had been there since Wednesday and we thought we were treated well until we spent time with him All the wait and hotel staff addressed him by name as we walked through the place and as we sat down at the bar they knew which drink he was after. ^ Doorman downstairs remembered my name and welcomed me back to the hotel/wished me a pleasant day whenever I passed. Excellent ^

Three of us ate at the Cielo restaurant last night, the service again exceptional. The waiter knew the menu inside out, was really and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. Food was excellent too, (Between us we had veal, lobster risotto and something else!) the three of us just had an entree each and split a bottle if wine. Came to $180+tip.

Although this was my first trip to St Louis most of the others who I was with have been there Monday-Friday, in some cases for the last 12 months. Usual places are the Chase, Ritz-Carlton, Hyatt Regency and Renaissance and they said the FS beats those hands down. Looks like we'll be sending a lot of business the FS's way in the coming months!

I took a few pictures for the general benefit of the FT community...
View from the room
Open terrace on left (there was more open space to the left, out of shot), pool & hot tub. The red thing is a water feature maybe a couple of inches deep
Deluxe room
The double bed option
Decent size bathroom w/ TV in mirror. Nice deep bath
Better shot of bathroom and nice shower with rain machine in addition to usual showerhead
Fruit plate w/hand written personalised note from sales manager.

If anyone's got questions let me know.
