A snowball's chance in a frying pan... VX's model is based on picking up market share from those two legacies. Coordinating with VX would be "un-capitalistic" even if it may makes things easier for their travelers.
Although you don't seem too enthused you still have AA through DFW, with speculation they may be back in the SAN-BOS market after winter and UA through ORD and DEN, not to mention the daily direct B6 year-round.
