I was aware of that discussion. But I didn't know that translated to being able to return to co-terminals to get around the originating point condition. So are you saying that I could depart IAD, go around the world and return to DCA and then could use my remaining segments for a round trip ex-DCA to somewhere in the US? If so that is great news, well perhaps not news to all of you, but to me! No matter how long I hang out on these boards I learn something new all the time. A few years back, I was told by the AA ATW desk that that was not allowed. Of course they may well have been wrong back then. That was before I knew the FT mantra to "call again".
