Those rates are pretty typical for modestly discounted fare classes on Japan China routes,.... but most people pay significantly less. I suggest you find a travel agent and/or stay on top of the airline web sites (NW, NH, JL, CA, etc.) Iran Air and Air Pakistan also fly the route in question several times per week. Finally, you want to fly HND-NAY, I think JL and CA might be your only choices at present.
