FWIW, I think these changes are a major (but not unexpected) devaluation. As someone who only redeems his miles for premium international awards or the occasional international upgrade, this is a significant devaluation of my miles. The 500-mile minimum repeal? Perhaps 2K EQMs---not enough to notice, let alone be thankful for in relation to the other changes.
