I do not pay for economy. I ONLY pay for business and expect to fly business. I do not use points/miles for these upgrades. And I've earned *G on both LH and UA, but based upon my experience wish *A had NEVER allowed TK to join.
As to TK's government ownership, partially or in whole, so long as they are engaged in a business venture they will not get soverign immunity protection (just ask the Govt of Liberia even after they had the US State Dept file an Amicus Brief in their behalf - they still LOST) by a US Federal Court.
I do not intend to be sweet with a bunch of incompetents who only know how to prtactice fraud.

Threatining does not work my friend.. Especially against a Turkish company which is owned by the government of Turkey and many international funds. So my suggestion to you is that; try to use this for your own benefit. Paying for economy but flying business for a year will be better than what you can get if you go the other way. Short term benefit is better than the unexpected future.
