Which is correct. Miles issued is not based on ticket purchase/issue date. It is based on TRAVEL date. Aeroplan website very clearly states:
Flights between Canada and Europe
Executive First Lowest**: (C, Z)
** For travel between Canada and the UK earn 150% of miles until August 31st, 2008.
So doesn't matter if your ticket was issued 10 years ago or today, miles earned is based on travel date unless otherwise specified and rules are clearly stated above per Aeroplan's website.
Hmm... Yet another liberty with contract law then.
