So I call Plat elite line and ask as a Plat if they can give me a seat and she then states she needs to speak with a supervisor. After about 20 mins I get disconnected. Next agent was very helpful, stayed on the line until I get a supervisor but she states your flight was cancelled due to weather. I asked if it's not because of the weather in Houston as oppose to Chicago because only 1 out of 7 flights got cancelled to Newark. Nope weather related, if you want a seat it will be over $600 for a one way 719 mile flight. With all the recent changes, it really doesn't pay to be loyal anymore.
Were you booked in a (paid) F seat to begin with? If not, why should they change you in to one? Were there Y seats available on that (or any other) flight?
