I saw it last night but didn't act on it, but this morning decided to go for it. Both of us are now going to London for a long weekend in mid-February for $444 total. To sweeten the deal for us, my other half has to be in Chicago for work anyway for a few days before this trip, and we're leaving after his work there is done, so his employer will pick up the tab for the ATL-ORD round trip for him. I can probably get myself to and from ORD on work trips as well. And since I've got UA status still, we can book into E+.
So, yes, I've gone and done it. I've booked myself on an intercontinental flight in economy. But at least it's not regular 31-32" pitch economy. But still. I may need to get very, very drunk on that flight, since it's economy, and UA.
But I can't complain too much. I mean, we're both going to London for less than I paid for my last ATL-LBB round trip ticket on CO!
I tried very hard to get that fare to price out for mid-March (would be a great Spring Break trip) but couldn't...
Good catch on picking it up!
