LH has a fabulous model for UA Domestic F travellers. That's why I dropped 2P status this year and credited it all to M&M. Before FTL (*S) status you get 3x the actual miles with a 1000 mile min per flight. So if I fly MCI-ORD-MCI in F as a non-status member than I get 6,000 qualifying miles on a r/t that is ~1,150 miles in the UA program. When you get FTL at 50,000 miles then the F-Class ratio goes up to 3.75x which lets you get to Senator even quicker. You get Domestic RCC access (or has this changed?) with a SEN card but not with a 1P or 1K card and upgrades don't matter if you're flying F or C.
Compare: Using MCI-ORD-MCI (two-class F)
UA 1P 43 R/Ts
UA 1K 87 R/Ts
LH FTL (although doesn't mean much on UA) 8.5 R/Ts
LH SEN 15 R/Ts
