Curious what the symptoms are, as crashed does not necessarily mean died. The operating system can fail and the system will not boot but can be fixed by repairing/re-installing the operating system. The data files are often intact. There will be an error message.

Or you can be having other symptoms: nothing happens when you turn it on, or lights go on but nothing happens, or lights go on and you hear a series of beeps - these all indicate a system component failure.
