Why the hassle?
I applied for the AMEX PPE card online from citicards.com . In the past few months they only had one offer for it, the 20,000 TYP after $600 in purchases. I made the $600 in purchases, however for my surprise I received only 15,000 TYP. I called citi asking for the missing 5000 TYP. After a week of investigation they sent me a letter requesting me to send them this offer. Now, if there were a few offers for this card then their request is legit. However, in this case I told them that they can easily check on their website and with the marketing department, because a 15,000 TYP offer simply does not/ did not exist for PPE on their website (either 10,000 for the PP or 20,000 PPE). Talking to a supervisor didn't help either.
So, I need to print the offer from their website and send it to them as a proof. Is it too much to ask for common sense?
