Here in BC that's my standard rant - It's against the law to drive without 'due care and attention' - So when people start demanding yet another law banning cell phones I just tell people we already have a law and to just enforce that one.
Almost everyone I see driving and chatting is driving without due care and attention.
I don't disagree with your cellphone and driving analogy, but I think that a high percentage of BC drivers could be lumped into the without due care and attention category.
The enforcers of the law could to, they drive while talking on a radio, phone, typing into a computer and reading a computer. Maybe they are gifted multi taskers.
