I also like CVG, especially, as Spiff mentioned, when having an A-B connection. That will mostly be reserved for mainliners although Chautauqua and other of the Republic offspring do have about ten or twelve gates in A. The commuter terminal is C, which as he also mentioned, suffers from the lack of a CRC. Otherwise, it is comparable to CO's D terminal at CLE and much superior to the E gates at CLT and anything at PHL. Short connection times right down to 45 minutes are usually fine at CVG athough you will occasionally see 35 offered. That is OK for Comair to Comair in Terminal C but puts a lot of pressure on if you need to bus over from A or B.
ATL is not my favorite, but it is tolerable since once you have hit the ground, considering its size it is fairly consistent and predictable. The layout is reasonably efficient, it is easy to find your way, and as AndyTLe says "the terminals are easy to maneuver" and he can be "confident [he'll] get to where [he] needs to be." One caveat is that you must be wise and not accept the 35-40 minute connection times that you do find from time to time offered on DL.com. An hour and 10 minutes is the minimum that I like to accept except in exigent circumstances.
And I am one who detests O'Hare for its sheer unpredictability and have been able to avoid using it for many years now.
