Yup, they are going to axe SFO-TPE and bring back NRT-TPE. This has not been a good year for TPE. First, SQ axed LAX-TPE (the only *A flight that departs midnight and arrives at TPE in the morning), and now UA too.

In the future, those of us who use award ticket to fly to TPE will have to compete with the NRT folks. Other options include LAX-ICN-TPE on OZ or LAX/SFO-NRT-TPE on NH. Award availability on OZ tends to be better than NH.
