No difference in availability (in theory) only QFF members can book them earlier than other OW FFP members.
Lounge access is given with QF Gold or AA Platinum status. Or by buying a QF Club membership.
AA has the better redemption rate and lower taxes by order of magnitude.

Be also aware that a lot of QF flights within Australia are now actually Jetstar flights and AFAIK you can not book them using AA miles.
