Starwood to Operate Hotels in Cuba

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has confirmed its plans to operate properties in Cuba, making it the first U.S. hotel company to do so in almost 60 years, according to USA Today. The company, which gained permission to run the existing properties via the U.S. Treasury Department, announced that it has signed three deals to operate establishments in the Caribbean island nation.
