Spend $300+ at Best Buy, Get a $30 Credit

Calling all American Express cardholders – you may be eligible for a great Amex Offer for purchases at Best Buy, just in time for the holidays!

What Is an Amex Offer?

Amex Offers is a program that provides discounts or extra points for purchases made at specific merchants. Cardholders can find these in the “offers” tab on the American Express website or smartphone app and add them to their account. For example, my American Express Gold Card is currently showing 82 offers, such as 10% back (up to $5) at Starbucks until December 2nd or +4 Membership Rewards for every dollar spent on Amazon.com (up to 1,500 points) until December 31st.

The Best Buy Deal

Many cardholders have reported a holiday offer that has popped up on their accounts. This deal is a $30 statement credit or 3,000 Amex Membership Reward Points after spending $300 at Best Buy or on bestbuy.com by December 31st. The purchases do not have to be made at one time, but can be multiple purchases across different days.

However, not all American Express cardholders have received this offer. I’ve been checking every few days and still have yet to see it on my Gold card, while one of my friends has it on both of her Amex cards. Reading the comments on Slick Deals, it looks like if you do not have the offer, then you may have the 100 maximum offers already in queue to be added to your account. Commenters have reported that if you blindly add offers to get below 100, then this one will eventually show up.

Let us know in the comments if this offer has popped up for you!
