Emirates Defends U.S. Relationship, Cites Jobs, Investments

Emirates chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum fired back in response to American carriers such as American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines complaining that government subsidies give Gulf carriers an unfair advantage over domestic airlines and hurts American workers.

“We really want to create more jobs in the U.S. and support the economy in the U.S.,” he told Richard Quest in an interview with CNNMoney.

“We carry nearly 4,000 people into the U.S. everyday, we invested $140 billion and supported over a million peoples’ jobs.”

Plus they provide a great product at a reasonable price. No "duct taped" seats ala DL, friendly FA which UA has not idea of how to do and lastly there's American who has lost it all
