Singapore, Qatar, and ANA Take Top Skytrax Honors

For the fifth time, Singapore Airlines is named the best airline in the world in the 2023 Skytrax World Airline Awards. In the United States, American Airlines was completely snubbed.
Singapore Airlines is once again the “World’s Best Airline” according to the 2023 Skytrax World Airline Awards.

The “Oscars of the aviation industry” honored Singapore, Qatar Airways, and ANA All Nippon Airways as the best in the world, while Delta Air Lines took top honors as the best in the United States and several North American categories.

International Carriers Take Top Global Customer Experience Awards

Known for their incredible first class product, Singapore Airlines claimed the top spot for the fifth time in the 23-year history of the awards. Qatar Airways came in second, while ANA was third.

Emirates was ranked fourth in the top 100, with Japan Airlines rounding out the top five. Also in the top ten of the world’s best carriers were Turkish Airlines, Air France, Cathay Pacific, EVA Air, and Korean Air.

Singapore Airlines also walked away with the title of world’s best first class and first class seat. Qatar Airways was given the honor of world’s best business class and business class seat, and Japan Airways earned the honors for best economy class and economy class seat.

U.S. Carriers Largely Snubbed at Awards

In the North American category, one legacy carrier took many of the awards. Ranked 20th in the world, Delta Air Lines earned seven awards as the best in the continent, including best airline, best business class, best premium economy, and best economy cabin. Alaska Airlines was named best regional airline in North America, and Sun Country Airlines topped Allegiant Air, Frontier Airlines, and Spirit Airlines as the best low-cost airline in North America.

United Airlines only walked away with one award: Best business class lounge in North America. Both 55th-ranked JetBlue and 82nd-ranked American Airlines were given zero accolades at the World Airline Awards.

I don't see how Sq Should win any awards.  Special meals are horrible. Meal portions are inadequately small On a 16+ hour flight SFO-SIN, the snack options in business class are granola bars, chocolate, and potato chips The first two meals are served in the first 8-9 hours of the flight, leaving you starving as you arrive in Singapore because of their wonderful "snack menu" for the last 7 hours or so of the flight pathetic.

I would travel with Turkish at least just to see that amazing airport each time. Piece of art in my opinion.
About Qatar, don't really understand why it's still in top 3

skytrax has no credibility whatsoever , it's a pay for rating. They charge their customers consulting fees & then rate them accordingly.

Best for what? On-time performance? Food in premium cabin? Seat in economy? Value? Operational reliability? Size of network? Ground service? Completely pointless award when the criterias are opaque, no metric, not even a text blurb to sort of explain their decision for each airline. Even Michelin and World's 50 do a better job than this.

Anyone who places ANA, Air France or Cathay above EVA Air cannot be taken seriously.
