Yahoo Mail Now Caters to Travelers

The latest Yahoo Mail app update aims to make the planning and taking of travel adventures simpler for its users.
Users of Yahoo Mail for iOS and Android now have access to services that will help them make all their flights and meetings on-time. The latest update, which is viewed as Yahoo presenting direct competition with Google Now, offers users personalized event and travel notification.
A “Today” section within the app provides information on flight times, delays or cancellations. By tapping the app, users can pull up airport directions, contact an airline to make or change a reservation, or connect directly with the airline’s website.
Upon landing at a destination, users are provided suggestions for restaurant, dining options, entertainment, nightlife and attractions nearby. For certain special events handled by Evite, Eventbrite and Ticketmaster, the Yahoo Mail app will provide complete event details, ticket prices, available seating and directions to the event.
By compiling all the information in one place, the app endeavors to make it easier for travelers to track their trips and attend out-of-town events, while also staying up-to-date on news headlines relevant to their itinerary.
The latest version of Yahoo Mail is only available in the U.S. at this time.
