(I would save 12,000 SPG points and simply rebook so that I stay some nights on points and some on money with these vouchers to make it free. PS: the room we booked did not have a miles+money offer in its stay so it's either points or money to book nights)
The $50 is per account, so the balances cannot be combined. Although, that would be lovely if that was the case.

If Category 5 SPG is $600, you should definitely use point...

yeah it was just a pipe dream--to save 12k points if possible. (need a few thou more to make a 20k=25K mile transfer to an airline but I'll get them elsewhere. But if it would just save me $50 off a room worth that much, I have to pass it up. Of course the SPG 50 would make it half but still, I can stomach the 12k points right now over what would be about $250 in cash. Times are tight on the work front with my home-based consultancy... Will save that cash for rum drinks on the trip

Anyway, I'm glad to see this promo working so well for so many people!

Read the thread's past few pages, and you'll find out.

You'll also find out how to make it $50. But you need to read the thread.

You're not the only one...

Did check Jamaica, though, and there is a "not the worst hotel in the world" place in Negril, Jamaica for $65 a night before the hotelclub bucks, available most of the dates I check for early next year.

I'm having a problem. There is a hotel (US$52 per night) and I tried to book it by using member dollar (US$50). When I booked it, I clearly clicked on using member dollar for this booking therefore the balance was US$2. However once the booking requested went through, the booking cost showed as US$52.

I have print-screened on every single page for details.

What should I do?

Thanks in advance.

save all that, print it. This is what I do with everything. Dont just save links but save Pdfs or printouts. be prepared to fax it to someone somewhere... What and where is to be determined.

The booking cost should show the full amount not any discounted amount.

Go into "Your Current Bookings" and look for the link to the Receipt/Invoice. Click that on. Look for the MRC amount and the amount you paid by credit card (they will be listed one on top of the other and add up to $52 in your case). The MRC is the Member Dollars used towards the booking.
