"Search" isn't functioning so I am unable to add this to the end of an existing thread on this subject, but late least week I received the new AIR MILES "Travel & More" magazine that outlines awards, benefits and program details.

• air awards within NAmerica no longer require Saturday overnight
• 7-day minimum advance booking (down from 14-days)
• 2-day for GOLD members with AC and HMY, in addition to WS
• ALITALIA now added to partners, and I guess CANJET is off the list (AC, WS, LH, NW, AA, KLM, Central Mtn, Air Labrador, Calm Air, Cdn North

Thanks for the note, SH. Good to mark the end of the Sat. night stay rule, though don't know quite why it's taken this long to be abolished.
