North America-Europe award ticket
I'm looking at booking a PHL-CDG trip on DL using VA points. There is availability on DL on the dates we want, I think; I can use Alaska miles to redeem the DL flight. (We have some orphaned VA points from when we lived in Australia, and this is the first chance in years to burn them.)
However, VA's web site doesn't even let me input PHL as an origin in searching for a reward ticket, and if I use another city like EWR, no destinations in Europe are options.
Is it possible to redeem VA points for a North America to Europe trip? Can it not be done online but yes over the phone?

Aha; it was the "Points + Pay" box I was missing. I thought points + pay meant using points to partially pay for a cash ticket, which would only work with VA points; I'd forgotten that it means using cash (or points at a lousy rate) to pay the taxes and fees. Thanks!
