Platinum Lounge Access on Air NZ ex SFO

Travelling in a few weeks time on Air NZ Premium Economy SFO - AKL - BNE.

As VA Platinum, would I get lounge access ex SFO?

Air NZ website indicates there is lounge access for Koru Club members at the SilverKris lounge, but I was unsure if this benefit extends to Velocity members?

If allowed in, is there sometimes flexibility with number of additional guests permitted? I'm traveling in a party of 3 x adults and the website indicates only 1 x additional guest is permitted.

I'm not 100% sure, but don't think you'll get access. I believe VA FF's only get access to the Star Alliance lounge in LAX because it is managed by Air NZ, but that is all from a long haul perspective. The VA website suggests the same;

In my experience each airline extends certain additional privileges to its own highest-level members but not reciprocally to other airlines' highest-level passengers. I expect you'll be treated as a Gold level of their scheme, not a Platinum member of yours. I've routinely been refused more than one guest (I'm also a Platinum with VA) at SQ and NZ lounges. Depending on how busy they are, there's always the "just this once" exception

Even at LAX, at WP travelling in economy on NZ metal requires a VA flight number for access.

Maybe not - it's what I was advised by A Velocity rep.
