VA flight doesn't earn SCs, but is it still considered an Eligible Sector?

I want to make sure I'm reading the TCs correctly. I'm looking at a VA marketed flight operated by NZ that doesn't earn SCs, but it seems that it will count towards my Eligible Sector balance. Is that correct? Cheers.

Discount Economy fare classes U and T are ineligible for Status Credit earn when travelling on domestic connections within New Zealand on Virgin Australia codeshare services operated by Air New Zealand.

Eligible Sector means a Flight Sector:

(a) that has been flown;

(b) that has not been booked as a Reward Seat;

(c) where Virgin Australia is the Marketing Carrier.
