1,000 points for loading Global Wallet with min $100
Not sure if this is a general offer or targeted, but I assume I'm not the only one to have just got an email inviting me to acquire a thousand points by loading $AUD100+ into my "Global Wallet".
Is this likely to be worth my while? As far as I can tell, there are no fees if I simply load the $100 onto my Velocity card as AUD and then spend it on random purchases. The only nasty surprise I see is a $1-per-month "inactivity fee" once you stop using it for twelve months, so I assume I'd have to somehow deactivate the Global Wallet feature once I was done with my hundred bucks, and I'm not sure if that's possible.
Any other nasty surprises I'm missing?

I got 500, I wonder how they are targeting?
I cannot recall the details, but there is an ability to transfer global wallet balances to other members, so you could get the whole family to load up $100, transfer to one account then cash out via ATM.
There seems to be no requirement to spend, just load, so this should work.
