LHR Revivals & US Limo

First time flying VS for quite some time so just wondered what the revivals lounge was like? Has it kept pace of refurb with the Clubhouse? Their website is very light on info..

Also, I think the "limo's" on the UK end are S80 Volvo's but what do you get in the US? An actual limo or just a normal town car or similar? just wondering if I should stay in a different hotel Will be flying into EWR.

TIA!

Revivals is designed for its purpose, aka great shower rooms to clean up, change in, etc. and a comfortable area for breakfast and small spa. It's not designed to be a clubhouse where you'd relax for hours - not sure what you mean by 'kept up with' however.

US limos are typically town cars (Executive L's in my experience) from good firms, so clean, modern, and good drivers.

Revivals is pretty basic in terms of its decor, if that's what you mean. Think cafe rather than clubhouse. The shower rooms are good, though, and the food is fine but nothing special. Service varies, as it does in the clubhouse. As slinky says, it's a functional space and it does what it promises to do well, and after a long red eye you really appreciate it.

Echo the comments on Revivals. It does the job though I've found the service to be very good (with the caveat that I am normally one of the first in off the HKG flight). Treatments are much easier to get too.

I agree -- Revivals is low-key, not high energy, and really good for relaxing a bit before heading into the rush of London. Particularly good if your flight arrives hours before you can check into the hotel. My guesstimate based on recent observations is that only 10% of eligible passengers actually use Revivals -- the others are either transferring at LHR (and hence use the Club House) or are going straight home from the airport and don't need an arrival lounge.
