availability of biz class on Virgin Australia
I already made one mistake by only transferring 40k from SPG to Virgin america for the Jet blue promotion. I needed 50001 points not 50k points

I don't want to transfer another 25k from SPG to Virgin America if it seems like the availability from LAX to Syd/Brisbane (any place in Austalia or Newzealand) would be hard to redeem .

Anyone know what availability looks like for redemption of 80k round trip on Biz class to Australia or new zealand?

Extremely low .

Lax <-> Aus/Nz routes are near impossible to find award availability in business / first class because they are very profitable. I've never seen one with any carrier that operates routes to Aus or Nz. (Not just virgin Australia.... ANY carrier)

Better transfer another 1000 points to make ur mistake less painful.... Or simply wait until Alaska airlines merger to complete and convert vx points to Alaska airlines miles, cuz conversion rate might be favorable cuz vx points are worth more than as miles on per point/mile vale basis.

Just used AMEX points , 200 for 100 VA as it transferred instantly.
