Mile expiration

Miles are expiring in July.

What is the cheapest way to extend them?

Any online way to earn a few miles here and there?

I'm a fan of mogl. Sign up, choose VX miles instead of cash back, and dine at one of the restaurants they are partnered with.

It's like the rewards dining program that a lot of loyalty programs are affiliated with, except that the amount you get back is a lot higher for most of the restaurants.

(The cash back is actually a better deal than the VX miles, so after your first month, when your VX miles are renewed, you might want to switch back to cash back)

Or, just buy something for 5 bucks at Wal Mart through their Fly Store website.

I had miles that were expiring in July, too.

So on June 12 I bought something at the Fly Store.

Well, the points never got credited to my account until July 31, a month after the rest of my points had already expired.

I've been trying to get VA to reinstate them. So far, I've gotten...
1) Send an email on our website! (and then no response)
2) A phone rep telling me that Fly Store points don't count toward expiry-prevention (which is completely incorrect & contrary to the terms.)
3) Waited forever on a supervisor....she finally reinstated them!

Lesson learned, if you are using the Fly store, don't cut it close to the deadline, give yourself a couple months lead time to keep your account alive.

Ugh. I should have looked at my detailed statement to see which year these were. I thought they were this year and 2015. Oh well.
