Newbie with some Virgin America Miles -- LAX --> SYD [Cheap!?!]
I'm a bit shocked - am I reading correctly that LAX -> SYD with Virgin America points on Virgin Australia is 40,000 ROUND TRIP?

I'm posting here because the VA dept is closed and I need to book two of these tickets and am wondering what the catch is here....

Perhaps they're hard to get availability on?

Any thoughts welcome -- I'm a bit excited!

The rate is correct. Availability is the issue.
