I can't seem to find similar info for US either in a sticky or through a search...although maybe I missed a thread.
I'm wondering if the fare classes for US is basically the same as UA as shown above? I know some are (A,D,F, etc) based on *A standard booking classes.
Specifically I'm interested to know if "N" class is a reward economy miles fare? If it is, would "N" fare be used for *A reward ticket when booked through AC Aeroplan? Or would that booking class (*A reward) differ from a Dividend Miles booking? I've been looking on seatcounter and it appears that US flights have a lot of N availabilty vs. UA - which has me doubting the fare classes are the same. I'm looking for SEA-NYC (either JFK/EWR/LGA) reward trip to bring my parents out for a BB King concert in late Feb.
I can get seats from Canada on AC, but the fees charged are brutal...quoted just over $300 to book 2 tixs to NYC from YVR in "taxes & fees" for a "reward" ticket. Have lots of family in SEA, so this option is easily do-able.

Welcome to Flyertalk, booherchristian
On the US website, the fare class is shown on the last page before you click "Buy". It used to be much easier, and most of us FFs are hoping the combined system, slated for Spring 2007 debut, would display the fare classes at the outset again.
DorianGray, Yes S fare class is non-upgradeable transAtlantic; at present, Y,B,M,H,Q are.

Thanks for the clarification of Y
I had a couple of return BPs for Jan 2 reflect Y as the booking class, but I did not book in Y (I do not think!) I wondered if that was restricted or unrestricted (the original posting said restricted) and I also wondered if perhaps phone agents use that class when rebooking due to involuntary reroutes or schedule changes, because that happened with the return flights of this itinerary.

I think the booking class should be reflected all the way through the booking process, including the e-mail copy of one's itinerary and e-receipt.

Thanks for the info. I've sent a request to US customer service about this twice and have never recieved a reply. US only has good customer service at the counters. On the phone they are terrible.
