Good to hear only one minor injury.

The aircraft appears to have done a few loops in the air before coming in to land, presumably to troubleshoot:

Aircraft was N953UW. Generally these types of no nose gear landings are repairable so long as the wings don't catch anything, but this appears at least to have been as "normal" as this kind of landing can be.

Article says the fly-bys were done so the control tower could confirm the landing gear wasn't down. Might have also been burning residual fuel to ensure only minimal remained upon landing, in case there were issues.

Lord have mercy! As a pilot, reading an ERJ did "a few loops" before landing got my heart all a pitter patter! OK, they did some fly bys so the tower personnel could do visual checks to see if the nose gear was down and locked. Phew!

Tricky landing, though better than if one of the main gear had not fully extended and locked.

The article gave the AA codeshare flight number, but who knows the prime (US) flight number?

The same number, 1825. Shortly after the merger, weren't all US and AA flight numbers combined?

I know a lot were, and that we went through some interesting foot play - but I don't know if full flight justification has been fully implemented.
