I was booked on US767 purely because it was the last 767-200 flight. Routing JAX-CLT-PHL-LGA and after we arrived on US767 and found out it was no longer the last service a lovely customer service rep in PHL re ticketed me PHL-CLT-PHL-LGA. So I have 3 flights on the same plane today and am the only one of the avgeeks on US767 to end up on the actual last flight.

Guess I should have said something. Thought briefly about it but went ahead and make my connection to the rest of my MR.

Let me guess. Not a word about it being the last flight and it went on as if it were any other day...

Sitting at the gate in CLT now and the captain just announced it is the last revenue flight of a 767-200 by US Airways.

1798 was originally a 757 and only got subbed late today after this plane had already flown it's supposed final passenger flight. I'm back in 8A.

And the era is indeed over, with a slightly early arrival of 1798 into PHL:

Is there any chance at all that someone out there got an extra safety card they may be able to part with or sell for a fellow collector?

I have a few very clean ones. Happy to sell, swap, or maybe even give away.

As a side note N252AU is on its way to Mobile Alabama right now.

I might have an extra World Airways MD-11 safety card in good condition. Let me check my collection.

On a side note. Anyone has any connections with people who decide if any fuselage (any aircraft really) can be donated? We have a diving & rescue organization in NC that could use it to submerge into a quarry. Could be any aircraft really.

I couldn't figure out which aircraft this was, but VCV does both refurbishment as well as storage and scrapping, so it could be any of those, but as opposed to going to, say, GYR, there is at least a somewhat greater chance it'll fly for someone else.
