Where did my America West miles go?

I have let my America West account go dormant for years. I just noticed that they no longer exist - were bought by USair. My US Airways account shows a zero balance. Did America West miles expire? Or were they simply not transfered to USAir?

You just noticed that they merged? Uh, you're a bit late on everything. Read the threads on the US Air forum, "My miles have expired".

Actually American West bought US Air and took the name.

Your miles are certainly expired but you can call US Air and find out when if you like.

There are two potential answers. Your HP FlightFund miles may have expired before the merger so there were no miles to transfer to US' Dividend Miles program. Or your FF miles may have transferred to DM and then expired due to lack of DM account activity.

Either way, since the merger was 5 years ago, your's expired at least 3.5 years ago.
