Also

HP's rationale fare strcuture will fix that fast. I think FC may be cheaper than $504 on a route of that length.

I posted on the PIT-BOS $1160 thread..... I have a meeting in ALB next month. Lowest fare on US PHL-ALB -- $894. BWI-ALB connecting in PHL to the same flights = $120. I'm taking Amtrak to BWI and will hop off in PHL on the return. There are 2 of us going. $1800 vs. $300 including the train tickets....

Back in June, 3 of us were going to ALB - PHL-ALB priced out at around $800 RT. We drove. So instead of getting 3 times a reasonable fare of say $350, they sold zero BloFares to our group.

I wish I could agree with you. I fly HP from time to time and offer the following examples from their web site today:
PHX-PSP $324
EUG-LAS $347
Hardly low-cost fares.
HP like US and every other airline will charge the highest possible fare they can to support operations. It a simple supply and demand issue. These higher fare routes subsidize ridiculous fares like $99 FLL-DCA that cannot possibly be revenue positive. fareas are only low where competition drives them down.

EUG-LAS is hardly 92 miles, though.
That said, you can find BloFares on just about any airline flying between a major hub and a small-town RJ/prop outstation where driving or LCC competition is a non-factor.
My company's paying somewhere upwards of $800 to put me through OAK-LAX-PHL-ELM-PHL-LAS-OAK next week on a strange combination of UAX, US, USX and HP. Nice that it'll all credit to The New US (tm) one way or another.
One-stop service SFO-PHL-ELM was more like $1,200!
