UFC with miles+copay upgrade waitlisted - refund of copay?
XXX-LAX-NRT L fare

Requested $600 + 30000 miles upgrade award at ticketing
($600 collected via CC at time of request and posted on CC statement)
XXX-LAX confirmed to R (domestic first)
LAX-NRT waitlisted (still in E+)
F1/J3 at check in time
At check in, offered BusinessFirst on LAX-NRT for $819...
If I take this offer, I assume I will be able to get my $600 back?
I view this offer as $219 additional to get my miles back and not waitlist on a low fare with just a few seats left....

Refund of Miles + Copay ?
I made a change to my return flight on an international flight to a later date which had been upgraded with $$$ and 30K. I used a GPU on the new return date.
The 30K came back to my MP account but should UA refund me the $550 pp as well? Or is that a non-refundable fee?
