Where'd the min connect times go?

Is it me, or have they removed the page(s) listing minimum domestic/int'l connect times in the PDF timetable? I'm looking at 1:10 to clear customs/immigration in DEN arriving from PVR, connecting to PDX. Never having cleared in DEN, is that enough time? I know it's bookable.

They didn’t show up in the recently published PDF files for some reason. See this thread also: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=550996

This is UA's minimum connection time chart from Jan 2006. The tab formatting doesn’t come through, but the five columns are:

1. Airport code
2. Domestic to Domestic
3. Domestic to International
4. International to Domestic
5. International to International

The hyphens are there for connections that don’t apply.

Minimum United Connecting Times

Flight-to-Flight or Flight Range-to-Flight Range. Exceptions may apply.

All flights arriving in the United States from Aruba, Bahamas,
or Canada (except Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada) should be
considered Domestic arrivals when calculating connecting
times. U.S. Customs is pre-cleared in Aruba, Bahamas, and
Canada (except Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada).

Thanks for the reply. It would seem with int'l flights arriving into Jeppesen, then having to clear customs and immigration and make it to the B gates in 1:10 is pushing it. Anyone been able to do this recently?

If you put it in a [code] block, it will.

Thanks for this. I too wondered where they had vanished to.

Are these current, or have they expanded some of these?

The info above is from Jan of 2006 (about the last time they actually published them) and word has it that UA has increased many/most/all of their MCTs. The times are still not provided in the newer PDF timetables or on the website

Intl. to Dom. at IAD in 60 min. (?) I would never go for it, especially coming in TATL where a 15 min or so delay can happen easily. Add to that clogged up Immigration and Customs and - bingo your connection is history! Anything below 1h30 is puhsing it.

International to Domestic (UA to UA) at DEN is 1:10.

Wasn't there a recent thread in this forum about new and longer MCTs?

If so, the 2006 MCTs are not accurate.

Bumping this up as I have a question about the min. connecting times...
I was able to book an itinerary where I fly from FRA>LAX and then have about 35 mins until a flight to SFO!! I thought for INTL> DOM it was at least an hour!

Is this ok? UA would not allow me to book it if there was not enough time right?
I do not think I will have a checked bag which would speed it up but....

35 minutes is not enough time for INTL-DOM connection at LAX, especially since some people reported that UA905 pax clear immigration at TBIT.

Could it be that you booked UA945? That is a direct flight, and everyone clears immigration in ORD. In that case your LAX connection would be between two domestic flights.

I just double checked and it is 905 non stop from FRA! So would UA let me book this itinerary with such a short intl>dom connection...they have...but is it a mistake? What happens if I do not make the connection?

I don't understand why United now keeps the MCTs under wraps as if they were nuclear secrets or something.

If you book the flight and miss the connection, United will put you on the next flight to SFO.

I am sorry, I should have added more info!

I realize that UA would put me on the next flight, but I need that 6:53pm flight to make the 8:44 from SFO-CIC which is the last one of the day...so I would either be stranded at LAX or SFO...what happens in that situation?

Compensation!!?? just kidding....

No, they'll put him on the next LAX-SFO flight with seats available ... and with record high load factors across the system and frequent cancellations on this route, that could be days into the future.
