I think this deserves a pair of SWUs and probably a $ off voucher.

(I also see that the FT Kvetchmeter on the side of the screen has gone off the charts.)

You nut nuts, and you know who you are, really need to get lives.

Come on folks, they're just nuts. Warm, cold, salted, unsalted.

PM me and we'll schedule some sessions to work through all these issues.

Not always. Quite often the ramekins are boarded in the meal carts and tins in the oven and we have to fill them.

So we have...ramekins bulk boarded on a tray with tins of nuts, ramekins boarded in tins with no extra tin of nuts, ramekins boarded in tins with extra tins of nuts, nuts boarded and no ramekins, ramekins boarded and no nuts...etc!

Well, if they weren't heavily salted, that's not necessarily bad... pretty much every ice cream has some salt in it, and the seasoning helps bring out the flavors. (In fact, almost every sweet thing that isn't pure sugar has some salt in it... cookies are a great example.) If it's too salty, well... yeah, that could get interesting.

UA's nuts are certainly not heavily salted IMO. If they are in fact reducing the salt on them, I won't even bother eating them. They took a huge turn for the worse anyway when they started warming them. I am surprised that so many prefer warm soft nuts instead of crunchy cold ones. I like mine at about 40F.

I noticed some macadamias in my ramekin last night (and they were warmed too); it was a welcome sight.

New hot nuts or was it an oddity?

Was served this "never-seen" hot nuts on UA915 on CDG-IAD about three weeks ago. Since I'm not a nut expert, I cannot say what kinds of nuts they were but there were raisins for sure. Here are photos, but my 5-year old camara did a ****** job here.

http://picasaweb.google.com/N227UA/Nut#

At the mid-flight, I asked for the second serving.
FA: Do you like these nuts?
ME: Somewhat.
FA: I've never seen these before.
ME: Me too.
FA: I'm don't know if they are going to keep these.
ME: That's what I was wondering too.

So has anyone seen these?

Those look like hazelnuts or, possibly, macadamia nuts. The latter I've seen in my ramekins, but not the former.

I can honestly say, I have never had a hazelnut. (I can't live without the coffee mate version of the stuff though).

Mmm, possibly, but can't say for sure. Not a big chocolate fan (unless it is of the white variety).

Only chocolate covered nuts I enjoy eating are the ones I get once per year when I'm over by you

Are those wasabi peas (the green stuff) hiding amongst the mystery nuts?

I have had said hazelnuts ex-CDG about 3 years ago, IIRC.

And it looks like a wasabi pea or a discolored cashew
